CNC Horizontal Milling Machinist - Large Parts


Advanced Machine & Engineering is a diversified manufacturing company that designs, builds, & delivers carbide sawing systems, custom work holding solutions, & automation solutions for a variety of industries. We are looking for full time, 1st shift Large Part CNC Horizontal Milling Machinist. The ideal candidate will need to perform all of his own set-ups and have an excellent understanding of process, tooling, gaging and recognize risk areas of the parts being machined. We have a clean, modern, climate controlled & safe work environment.


Job Responsibilities

  • With provided programs; set-up, operate, and produce close tolerance work in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean & safe work area.
  • Perform daily maintenance activities, such as checking fluids, etc.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Previous large part machining experience (10+ years).
  • Sound understanding of Fanuc G Code programming.
  • Strong math & problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team/group environment

Education: 

  • High School or Equivalent work experience within tool manufacturing co.
  • 5-year minimum job shop experience programming & setting-up CNC Lathes machining equipment
  • Strong math and measuring skills
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and interpret computer programs sent to machine centers
  • Ability to operate large overhead crane and operate forklift
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
