Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance - Technician is responsible for light maintenance of the parking meters.
  • Minor Repair - Technician will visit machines daily to clean and service as needed.
  • Repair - Exchange parts and troubleshoot meter issues.
  • Communication - Must work closely with Meter Collectors and Accounting Team to troubleshoot and resolve meter alarms and issues.
  • Vehicle Maintenance - Inspect vehicles before driving and clean vehicles daily as needed.
  • Safe driving - you cannot be replaced! To help coach, our vehicles are strictly monitored with audio and video recording as well as GPS with safe driving alerts.
  • Represent our brand and our client in the most favorable light at all times.
  • Promote good customer relations by consistently providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor, can-do attitude, and willingness to help at all times.
  • Meter Collections - at times, the technician will perform daily collections as needed.
  • Maintenance - minor maintenance tasks such as cleaning, courier and maintenance may occur before or after the meter repairs route each day, as to support the needs of the operation.
  • Snow removal - assist with clearing sidewalks, walking areas, shoveling and applying salt so the meters and lots are safe and accessible.
  • Maintain a clean, organized meter room, work bench, and supply shelves.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of components and records of repairs.
  • Take pride in everything that you do.
  • Take care of those around you - including co-workers, residents, customers/parkers, and clients.
  • Perform additional duties of the operation as needed and assigned.

Experience / Skills:
  • Experience in customer relations and able to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license for at least 2 years and be able to operate our vehicles safely.
  • Willingness to be flexible and to work in any outdoor elements.
  • Ability to handle challenging, and at times, emotionally charged situations.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised at times.
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
  • Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours at a time).
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery and power tools safely.
  • Ability to maintain accurate collection records, documenting every step in the process and communicate issues to accounting and collections supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to pass a background, motor vehicle and drug screening
  • Technical knowledge, tool usage, and small engine/technology equipment repairs experience is a plus!
