Job Summary
PRCS serves a diverse population including but not limited to youth, adults, individuals with disabilities, and seniors. Facility Attendant is an important part of our frontline, and they serve all divisions of the Loudoun County Parks, Recreation, and Community Service Department. As a Facility Attendant, you will be the front line of our customer service standards, special events, building services, and programming. The successful candidate will be self-motivated to grow, will work well with others, and exemplify strong communication skills.
Depending on assignment and under the general direction of the designated supervisor, the position may oversee and support park activities at outdoor parks, recreational sports, and related activities at assigned school sites, rental of facilities, set up of classrooms, maintenance of dry and wet/pool areas, use of climbing walls and gymnasiums for assigned Center or designated facility in the County.
This position, depending on assigned area and center may support the front desk and Childcare operations for drop-in users collects fees; provides information about programs and registers participants; sets up and takes down tables, chairs, and other equipment for indoor and outdoor programs and events; ensure cleanliness and notifies manager of needed repairs; conducts daily safety checks; provides substitute coverage for summer camps or preschool programs as needed; use and maintain vehicle records.

General responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
โ€ข Oversee drop-in users, renters, and provide customer services in multiple areas; enforces facility rules.
โ€ข Maintains facilities by overseeing maintenance, condition of facilities, and safety of the building and grounds; documents daily facility checks, process work orders, procures supplies, and reports issues to manager.
โ€ข Maintains current knowledge of Department, and programs to be able to provide information to customers.
โ€ข Maintains vehicle in safe and operational condition; maintains vehicle records; completes pre-trip inspections and daily logs; plans routes and times; and ensures that standard and safety equipment is in vehicle and fully operational.
โ€ข May perform other essential job functions specific to the position and department assignment.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Depending on assignment, six (6) months experience supervising children during recreational or educational activities may be required.
Applicants who have completed 10th grade and do not possess a valid driver's license and High School diploma or equivalent may still be considered at a lower grade 104 ($18.17) *
Preferred Qualifications:
โ€ข Experience working outdoors, sports and recreational settings.
Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Must undergo criminal, credit, DMV, and depending upon site assignment Child Protective Services (CPS) background checks. Maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record. Depending on programmatic assignment, pass TB test within 30 days. First Aid/CPR certifications prior to hire or immediately upon hire. Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 30 pounds frequently.
