Description
Assistant Boys Volleyball Coach Timpview High School is looking for an assistant to support the head coach in developing student-athletes, building a positive team culture, and providing a competitive and rewarding volleyball experience.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong volleyball knowledge, effective communication skills, a commitment to student-athlete development, and the ability to work collaboratively with the head coach, coaching staff, students, parents, and school administration.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist the head coach with planning and conducting practices, workouts, and team activities.
  • Teach and develop fundamental volleyball skills, techniques, strategies, and game concepts.
  • Assist with scouting opponents and preparing game plans.
  • Help supervise and coach student-athletes during practices, competitions, tournaments, and team events.
  • Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, accountability, and a positive team culture.
  • Provide encouragement, mentorship, and constructive feedback to student-athletes.
  • Assist in monitoring student-athlete eligibility, attendance, academic progress, and behavior.
  • Help maintain a safe, organized, and positive practice and competition environment.
  • Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, coaches, school personnel, and administrators.
  • Assist with equipment, uniforms, facilities, and other program responsibilities.
  • Follow all Timpview High School, Provo City School District, and applicable athletic association policies and procedures.
  • Attend required coaches' meetings, trainings, and professional development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the head coach or school administration.
