Job Summary:

The Job Coach is responsible for training participants in a workplace setting. The Job Coach will utilize specific teaching techniques to instruct participants in designated jobs at a work site. The Job Coach ensures all assigned worksites are maintained to the highest quality standards and implements company mission and values by providing participants the opportunity for employment in a competitive, integrated setting.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Provides coaching and training to participants, teaching them employer specific job tasks as well as work responsibilities and professional behavior.
• Utilizes training techniques to instruct participants in specific tasks, work skills, habits, and behaviors
• Fosters and promotes the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in the workplace
• Ensures quality and performance standards are maintained according to the job specification of the employer while still exercising the ability to hold participants accountable
• Responsible for documenting and reporting compliance per Redhead Supports. Provides weekly daily reports to the Manager on progress of job coaching
• Maintains regular contact with the Manager as appropriate
• Assists individuals with completing applications and resume building
• Fosters positive relationships with employers in the community, following employers' policies and procedures
• Presents self in a professional and appropriate manner towards participants, co-workers and community partners
• Participates in job-related training offered by Redhead Supports, Vocational Rehabilitation, Veterans Affair, and other local and Federal training to increase skills and improve current skills.
• All other program-related duties assigned by the Employment Manager

Skills and Abilities:

• Demonstrates excellent communication skills, relationship building, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain relationships stakeholders and community partners
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies and procedures manuals
• Ability to work with people that have severe, profound and/or multiple disabilities
• Ability to provide accurate case documentation

Qualifications (education, training, experience, licenses)

• High School diploma or GED required
• Minimum of (1) year experience serving individuals with disabilities
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Work, PowerPoint and Excel) and Google Forms required
• First Aid/CPR certification required
• Job Coaching certification
• Must be able to have a flexible work schedule which may include working evenings and weekends
• Valid driver's license required and reliable transportation w/ current automobile insurance

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, lift arms above shoulder level, occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

The Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25lbs.

Maybe exposed to a warehouse environment and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, extreme cold, wind, poor air quality and wet or humid conditions, etc.
