Job description

The Role We Need:

We are seeking a Lifecycle Marketing Automation Specialist dedicated to supporting supply-side growth by building, optimizing, and scaling communication journeys for our Host community. In this role, you won't just monitor existing flow, you will actively design, build, and deploy data-driven campaigns across the entire host lifecycle: driving initial lead acquisition, nurturing prospective hosts into qualified opportunities, guiding them through activation, and securing long-term retention. Utilizing our core stack and Segment, you will bridge marketing operations and technical execution to build multi-channel experiences across email, SMS, push notifications, and in-app messaging.

The Person We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a hands-on, detail-obsessed builder who understands how lifecycle marketing touches every stage of the host journey. While you keep the big picture in mind, you thrive in the tactical details that make campaigns succeed. You are a strong team player who excels in a highly collaborative environment, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to ensure campaigns align with broader business goals.

As a hands-on Specialist, you focus on practical execution. You can take a campaign brief and event payload to build end-to-end journeys, defining triggers, eligibility, exclusions, and exit criteria, or analyze a broken workflow to find and fix the root cause. You combine strong technical skills across our platforms (leveraging Pardot, SFMC, and Salesforce CRM for supply-side pipeline management while driving high-volume campaigns in Iterable) with a critical eye, knowing when to verify data anomalies and overlapping flows before launching a campaign.

Here's What You'll Do Day-To-Day:
  • Build, Execute & Optimize Lifecycle Journeys: Design, build, execute, and optimize multi-channel campaigns across email, SMS, push notifications, and other owned channels to engage prospective and active hosts effectively.
  • Manage Automation Flow Performance: Monitor and maintain automation flows to ensure campaigns are delivered consistently and perform at a high level.
  • Manage & Integrate Marketing Stack: Work directly inside Iterable, Pardot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and Salesforce CRM to ensure seamless data flow, segment syncs, lead scoring, and campaign triggering across host lifecycle stages.
  • Troubleshoot HTML and CSS: Troubleshoot HTML and CSS issues to ensure communications render properly across various devices and platforms.
  • Conduct A/B Testing: Conduct A/B testing and experimentation to identify strategies that optimize user engagement and campaign success.
  • Analyze Performance Data Insights: Analyze performance data and generate insights to enhance the effectiveness of marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate on Campaign Content: Collaborate with creative and cross-functional teams to refine content and visuals for multi-channel campaigns.
Here's What You'll Need To Be Successful:
  • Marketing Automation & Stack Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience in lifecycle marketing, marketing operations, or automation, with a proven track record of building workflows from scratch. Direct experience using Iterable, Pardot, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
  • Audience Segmentation & Data Verification: Working knowledge of SQL (or platform segmentation engines) to query audience tables, validate host event data, and build targeted segments.
  • System Connections & Event Triggers: Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON payloads, and Webhooks to understand event mappings and help trigger real-time, automated flows. Able to communicate technical requirements effectively with Product and Data teams.
  • Dynamic Content & Personalization: Practical experience using scripting languages (such as Liquid syntax, AMPscript, or basic JavaScript) to apply conditional logic and render personalized content.
  • Email Template & HTML Troubleshooting: Functional knowledge of HTML/CSS to make edits, update layouts, and troubleshoot responsive email templates across devices.
  • A/B Testing Expertise: Experience in A/B testing and the ability to interpret results to drive improvements.
  • Prioritization Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Stay Updated on Trends: Knowledge of multi-channel marketing trends and best practices to stay ahead in a competitive industry.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of marketing execution.
The Interview Process:
  1. Your application will be reviewed for possible next steps by the Hiring Manager.
  2. If you meet eligibility requirements, the next step would be a phone screen with a member of the PeopleOps team for about thirty (30) minutes.
  3. If warranted, the next step would be a video interview with our Sr Lifecycle Marketing Automation Specialist for thirty (30) minutes.
  4. If warranted, the next step would be a forty-five (45) minute interview with our Director of Lifecycle Marketing.
