Job description

UNC Health Pardee is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible General Cardiologist to join a well-established, collegial cardiology team in the scenic mountains of Western North Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for a growth-minded physician who values high-quality patient care, work-life balance, and strong clinical support.

Youll practice comprehensive non-invasive cardiology in a community-focused environment with access to robust diagnostic resources, an established referral base, and the stability of the UNC Health system.

Practice Environment

  • Established Cardiac Rehabilitation program
  • EPIC EMR utilized in both clinic and hospital

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive care for a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias
  • Emphasize preventive cardiology, risk-factor modification, and chronic disease management
  • Perform and interpret EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress testing
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
  • Participate in shared call rotation
  • Educate patients and families on heart health and disease prevention
  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within EPIC EMR

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Cardiology
  • Eligible for unrestricted North Carolina medical licensure
  • Strong clinical acumen and commitment to evidence-based care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
