Description: Teacher Aide assists classroom teachers and supports instruction to meet program objectives. The aide will work with classroom teachers to differentiate instruction for students, including teaching specific literacy and math skills to students and assisting with assessments. This person has direct contact with the students under the supervision of a teacher.
Job Summary: The aide reports to an assigned Classroom Teacher and the Building Principal.
Qualifications:
โ€ข ELS (PARA) License, ELS (SUB) License, or PEL (Professional Educator License)
โ€ข Initiative to follow through with assigned tasks
โ€ข Effective interpersonal and communication skills
โ€ข Teaching or assisting experience at the elementary level preferred
Working Conditions: The work year for this positionn is 180 days. The salary is paid in accordance with the current teacher aide salary schedule. The district offers excellent fringe benefits, including life, health, and dental insurance.
