Job description

HINCKLEY-BIG ROCK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

POSITION:  PARAPROFESSIONAL 

    

DESCRIPTION:     

Full-time special education paraprofessionals needed to work with students identified with disabilities at Hinckley-Big Rock Elementary School, with openings across our Early Childhood program through 4th grade.  

Paraprofessionals will assist students within general education classrooms and smaller group settings.  This will include academic and social/emotional instructional support, as well as responsibilities in data collection, supervision and communication.   Additionally, a paraprofessional may need to assist students with toileting/lifting/transferring and other functional skills and in unique cases, ride a school bus to and from school with students.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Paraprofessional License Required 
  • Experience working with children
  • Must be flexible, student centered and have strong communication skills.
