Seeking a detail-driven Production Planning Specialist to serve as the operational backbone between sales demand and manufacturing output. In this critical role, you will orchestrate the end-to-end production cycle, ensuring finished goods are produced on time, raw materials and packaging are available without excess, and the factory floor runs without interruption. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production Scheduling & Planning
• Create, evaluate, and maintain a detailed Master Production Schedule (MPS) aligned to sales forecasts and live order volumes.
• Review and update the MPS, walking the factory floor to track completion status against plan.
• Process new customer orders and integrate them into the MPS.
• Generate and monitor manufacturing work orders, ensuring sequencing aligns with delivery commitments.
Material & Inventory Management
• Audit raw material, label, and packaging inventory against production needs; place replenishment orders with domestic suppliers and monitor ETAs.
• Conduct a full finished goods review (MCBE), aligned with headquarters.
• Monitor inventory thresholds to prevent overstocking while eliminating raw material bottlenecks.
• Enter and release received container shipments and complete goods receipt processing.
• Adjust Purchase Orders against headquarters invoices and save DDT documents in alignment with POs.
Operational Coordination & Problem Solving
• Proactively identify and resolve production shortages before they impact output, bring solutions, not just problems.
• Address disruptions including raw material shortages, equipment failures, and staffing gaps with a solutions-first mindset.
• Collaborate with Supervisors, Production Leaders, Customer Service, and the Lab team to ensure seamless execution.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for domestic and international suppliers, including headquarters.
Forecasting & Supplier Development
• Develop demand forecasts for new materials and verify additional raw material requirements.
• Research and evaluate new suppliers, send technical requirements and manage onboarding through selection.
• Compile and report production efficiency, output volume, and inventory performance data to executive management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, Operations, Business, or related field preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
3+ years in production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with MRP/ERP frameworks (Oracle, NetSuite, or equivalent plant management systems).
