Familiarity with legal research databases like Westlaw or LexisNexis and proficiency in document management systems are essential technical requirements. Attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to multitask under deadlines are standout soft skills for this position. Certificate programs can take a few months to a year, while associate degrees usually take about two years, and bachelor's degrees around four years. Many paralegals also pursue certification to enhance job prospects and demonstrate professional competence.

What are some common challenges paralegals face when managing multiple cases simultaneously?
