Job Description
We are hiring a professional, organized, and detail-oriented Paralegal to join this downtown Lincoln firm. As a Paralegal you will provide essential support to attorneys throughout the legal process, including preparing and maintaining legal documents, managing case files, communicating with clients, coordinating deadlines, and assisting with case preparation.
The ideal candidate is dependable, highly organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism. As well, posses a strong proficiency utilizing Excel.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day paralegal and administrative support to attorneys.
  • Draft, prepare, proofread, and organize legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and other case-related materials.
  • Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical case files.
  • Assist attorneys with case preparation, document review, discovery, and trial preparation as needed.
  • Track court dates, filing deadlines, appointments, and other important case milestones.
  • File legal documents with courts and other appropriate agencies.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties.
  • Gather and organize records, exhibits, evidence, and supporting documentation.
  • Conduct legal and factual research as directed by attorneys.
  • Schedule meetings, depositions, hearings, and other case-related appointments.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and firm information.
  • Perform additional administrative and legal support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Previous paralegal, legal assistant, or law office experience preferred.
  • Paralegal certificate, associate degree, or related education is preferred but may not be required based on relevant experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to learn and work effectively with legal case-management and document-management systems.
  • Professional demeanor and strong client-service skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.

The base salary range for this position is $52,000 -$62,000 annually, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation.
