Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Paralegal role located in Omaha, NE. The Paralegal will support the attorney by drafting, formatting, and organizing legal documents, maintaining case files, and preparing materials for hearings, trials, and client meetings. Daily responsibilities include conducting legal and factual research, reviewing and summarizing documents, and ensuring that all filings and deadlines are met. The role also involves communicating with clients, court personnel, and external parties, as well as assisting with scheduling, correspondence, and general administrative tasks related to case management. The Paralegal will work closely with the attorney to help deliver accurate, timely, and professional legal support.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law and understanding of legal procedures and terminology.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and organizing legal forms, pleadings, and contracts.
- Ability to conduct thorough Research and perform detailed Document Review to identify relevant information and issues.
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with attorneys, clients, courts, and external stakeholders.
- High level of attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency with legal practice management software and standard office applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, electronic filing systems).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Associate’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience; prior law firm or legal department experience is preferred.
