Job description

The Position

A leading global consumer technology company is seeking a mid-to-senior-level commercial attorney to join its growing legal team. This attorney will join a collaborative legal group that advises the business across brick-and-mortar retail, e-commerce, customer support channels, and global retail initiatives. The work is intentionally broad and fast-paced, spanning commercial contract negotiations, drafting agreements with external partners, consumer terms and conditions, marketing reviews, consumer and pricing regulations, customer escalations, and day-to-day retail operational matters.

The ideal candidate has 6 to 14 years of legal experience, including strong law firm training, and brings excellent analytical, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. The team is looking for someone who can quickly take ownership of matters, exercise sound legal judgment, work independently with minimal oversight, and effectively partner with cross-functional stakeholders to drive practical business solutions. Prior retail or technology experience is a plus but is not required; the client is primarily focused on candidates with strong legal fundamentals and the ability to learn a new business quickly.

This project starts ASAP, is six months with potential to extend, is hybrid in Cupertino, CA, and requires onsite attendance every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The engagement requires 40 hours per week.

The hourly rate for this assignment is expected to be between $95and $107. This range is an estimate; an employee’s compensation will be based on the employee’s qualifications, skillset, and relevant experience, specific client needs, project requirements, and other considerations permitted by law.
