Position Overview

Paragon Behavioral Health Center is seeking dedicated and compassionate licensed mental health counselors to join our dynamic team in Baltimore, Maryland. Work Environment

As a licensed mental health counselor at Paragon, you will work in a flexible remote setting, allowing you to manage your schedule while ensuring that our patients receive timely care. Our outpatient office supports a team-oriented approach with regular virtual meetings and consultations. The position typically follows a Monday to Friday work schedule, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans that address their unique challenges and goals.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, employing various modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to individuals, couples, and families.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups designed to foster community and address common mental health issues among participants.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Provide crisis intervention services, assessing and addressing urgent mental health needs during emergencies or acute episodes.
  • Educate patients on mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their recovery journey.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal standards and organizational protocols using our electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Participate actively in case consultations and professional development activities to continuously enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge.
  • Keep abreast of the latest research and advancements in mental health therapy to integrate innovative practices into treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of a current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment modalities.
  • Proven ability to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and formulate effective treatment plans.
  • Experience providing individual and group therapy to a diverse range of clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, combined with sound judgment and professional ethics.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other relevant technology.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in outpatient mental health settings.
  • Familiarity with community resources and support services available for patients.
