Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping facilities operating at their best? Hotel Weyanoke is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining the safety, comfort, and appearance of our historic boutique hotel while delivering exceptional service to our guests and team members.

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and preventative care of hotel facilities and equipment, including:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and complete work orders in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical systems
  • Maintain guest room equipment, lighting, laundry equipment, kitchen appliances, and life-safety systems
  • Assist with facility improvement projects, renovations, and capital repairs
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance and safety concerns
  • Ensure fire, life-safety, and building inspections are completed and documented
  • Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and maintenance supplies
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest concerns
  • Support the overall safety, appearance, and operation of the property

What We're Looking For:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Vocational training or coursework in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or plumbing systems preferred
  • Experience in hotel, commercial, or facility maintenance preferred
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and general building systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Computer proficiency for work order and maintenance tracking systems
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is a plus
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials as required
