About this Role
PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking an Estimator to support the development of accurate, competitive, and well-informed cost estimates for electrical construction projects. This role is responsible for reviewing project documents, analyzing scope and pricing, and helping prepare bids and proposals that support successful project execution. The Estimator works closely with operations, project management, vendors, and leadership to evaluate opportunities, identify risks, and develop pricing strategies aligned with project requirements.
What You'll Do
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for electrical construction projects
  • Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and other bid documents to understand project scope and requirements
  • Quantify labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor, and other project costs
  • Solicit and review vendor and subcontractor quotations to support estimate development
  • Identify scope gaps, inconsistencies, and potential risks in bid documents
  • Assist with budgetary, conceptual, and competitive bid estimates for a variety of project opportunities
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and internal estimate reviews as needed
  • Collaborate with operations and project teams to align pricing assumptions with execution plans
  • Maintain estimate files, bid documentation, and historical cost information
  • Support proposal clarifications, bid submissions, and follow-up activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating tools, processes, and reporting

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of estimating experience in electrical construction, utility, industrial, or infrastructure projects preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Basic understanding of labor productivity, material pricing, equipment costs, and subcontractor scopes
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work under deadlines
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with estimating or bid management software preferred
  • Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow within a fast-paced construction environment
