Job description

About Us

PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is a premier outside electrical infrastructure construction company based in Kansas City, Missouri. A subsidiary of Quanta Services, Inc. (NYSE:PWR), PAR is one of the founding members of Quanta Services and among the largest union contractors in the U.S. PAR's employees are the reason for the success of our company. Our reputation attracts the highest quality personnel, people who are committed to producing projects that set a standard for excellence. At PAR, we take on the most challenging and complex projects we can find, and we hire people who thrive on hard work and demanding opportunities.

About this Role

PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is seeking an Operational Field Specialist to play a critical role in elevating field operations by establishing consistent, scalable workflows across projects, crews, and supporting departments. This position is the operational backbone of the region - driving process standardization, systems adoption, and cross-functional alignment at a time when the region is actively growing and maturing its operational foundation.

The ideal candidate brings firsthand construction industry experience with systems, people, and processes, and leverages that institutional knowledge to identify operational gaps, guide crews and project teams toward best practices, and build lasting change across job scheduling, billing, timecard processing, and project coordination. This is fundamentally a training and change management role - success is measured not by what this person does for the region, but by what the region learns to do consistently and correctly on its own.

What You'll Do

Process Implementation & Change Management

  • Lead the standardization of field operational workflows across assigned crews and projects, including job scheduling, progress tracking, billing processes, and timecard submission.
  • Identify gaps in current practices and implement consistent, efficient processes that align with company standards and best practices.
  • Serve as a hands-on resource for field personnel learning new systems and workflows, providing guidance, follow-up, and accountability to drive adoption.
  • Develop and maintain reference materials, SOPs, and training resources to support consistent execution across the region.
  • Partner with both regional and corporate leadership to align process improvement priorities, communicate adoption progress, and escalate systemic barriers to change.

Field Operations Support

  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource and adviser to field crews and project teams on best practices for project scheduling, manpower planning, and equipment utilization - guiding correct process execution rather than managing it directly.
  • Review field operational data to surface trends, identify areas of inconsistency or inefficiency, and use those findings to focus training and change management efforts where they are needed most.
  • Guide crews and project teams on best practices for tracking and reporting key operational metrics - production, safety, cost, and quality - building the habit and capability within the teams to own this work consistently.
  • Partner with field leadership to identify where projects or processes are drifting from standards, and provide targeted support and training to course-correct.
  • Travel up to 15% as needed to support project and business needs

Project & Administrative Coordination

  • Guide field employees and project teams on correct preparation and maintenance of job documentation - including daily reports, change orders, and cost tracking - building competency and consistency rather than owning the documents directly.
  • Support timecard and payroll accuracy by identifying recurring errors, coaching field employees on correct submission practices, and helping teams build reliable habits around the process.
  • Support onboarding of new field employees with a focus on systems training and correct process execution from day one - setting new talent up to work the right way from the start.
  • Identify gaps in record-keeping accuracy and work with teams to implement corrective practices for project data, work progress, and compliance documentation.

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote and reinforce PAR Electric's safety culture.
  • Support field audits, safety meetings, and incident reporting processes - using findings as training opportunities to drive lasting behavioral change.
  • Help teams understand and consistently maintain compliance records through coaching and process guidance.

Operational Reporting & Analysis

  • Collect and analyze operational data across the region to identify patterns, training needs, and systemic process gaps - translating findings into targeted change management and training priorities.
  • Use ERP and project management systems to assess data quality and reporting consistency, identifying where incorrect usage or incomplete adoption is occurring and addressing it through direct coaching and guidance.
  • Summarize operational findings and training progress for both regional and corporate leadership review, providing clear visibility into where the region stands and where continued focus is needed.
  • Pro-actively surface inefficiencies and recommend actionable, training-driven solutions that build long-term capability within the region.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Act as a bridge between field crews, project managers, accounting, procurement, and safety departments - helping each group understand what the others need and how correct process execution on their end supports the whole.
  • Translate operational observations and training gaps into actionable feedback for regional and corporate leadership, ensuring the right people have visibility into what is working and what still needs development.Provide elevated operational support during peak project periods or regional initiatives, with a focus on reinforcing correct practices under pressure.
  • Partner with regional and corporate leadership on special projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and efforts to scale successful practices across the broader organization.
What You'll Bring
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Operations, Finance, or related field preferred - or equivalent experience in a field operations environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in construction operations, field coordination, or a related support role.
  • Working knowledge of construction industry operational systems, workflows, and organizational structure strongly preferred.
  • Experience in utility, electrical, or construction environments preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel required); experience with ERP or project management software preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement process change and build buy-in across diverse teams.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, field-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage both field personnel and senior leadership.
What You'll Get
