The Opportunity
The Die Cutter Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of die cutting equipment to produce high-quality packaging products that meet customer specifications. This role ensures efficient production performance through machine setup, make-readies, quality inspections, process adjustments, and preventative maintenance while supporting a safe and collaborative manufacturing environment.

  • Review job tickets and production specifications todeterminemachine setup requirements.
  • Monitor machine performance andidentifyoperational issues requiring adjustments or corrective action.
  • Perform make-readies and routine production adjustments tomaintainefficiency and product quality.
  • Follow established operating procedures, work instructions, and environmental and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain production records and accurately document operating data and job performance metrics.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance procedures, and technical documents.
  • Basic computer anddata-entryskills.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Ability to use rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection equipment.
  • Knowledge of die repair, spotting sheets, stripping boards, counters, matrix systems, underlaying, and make-ready processes.
  • Ability to recognize common packaging defects and take corrective action.
  • Ability to use pre-make-ready tables and related tooling.
  • Successful completion of color vision and color hue testing requirements.

Physical Demands
This position requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, balancing, pushing, pulling, repetitive hand movements, and frequent use of hands and fingers.
