About the Role
The Essity Manufacturing Professional Hygiene North America Converting Team is currently searching for Paper Converting Machine Operators. This role will be based out of our Bordentown, NJ facility.
The Paper Converting Machine Operator is responsible for operating a production line for Hygiene products. Manufacturing products according to fixed specifications and standard operating procedures. As member of the converting team, the skilled operator will be responsible for the performance, safety and quality aspects of their work area.
Work schedule: Monday - Friday from 3:20PM to 11:50PM
What You Will Do
  • Consistently demonstrate safe work practices and promote a culture of safety among team members.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Inspect equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignments.
  • Ability to perform mechanicals adjustments on the machine.
  • Produce the required amount of product within established specifications and tolerances.
  • Measure finished products with precision tools, ensuring compliance with quality.
  • Daily documentation and maintain logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
  • Notify supervisor of production completion and prepare the machine for next production run.
  • Identify the components described in the production order and return and label any remaining components upon completion of the product.
  • Keep the warehouse (and facility) clean, organized and efficiently maintained.
  • Coordinate and communicate with production teams (on all shifts) about daily production plan.
  • Lead changeovers and other technical activities as needed.
  • Focus on continually improving the workflow of the area.

Who You Are
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or a related field is preferred.
  • Basic Mathematics, writing and reading.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility in work assignments.
  • Ability to check quality of the products.
  • This role requires frequent walking or standing, the ability to climb ladders, occasional bending or kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, and pushing/pulling rolls up to 200 lbs with assistance.

Expected Compensation:
Starting pay: $21 to $24 per hour + Shift Differential + Quarterly Bonus + full benefits.
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors such as knowledge, skills, and experience.
