Machine Operator - Press Brake Operator
Location: Oakland, NJ
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Must be flexible to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.
Join Our Team!
We are seeking an experienced Press Brake Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Oakland, NJ. If you have experience working in a machine shop, can read engineering drawings, and take pride in producing quality parts, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate a Press Brake according to production schedules.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality specifications.
  • Measure parts using calipers, protractors, and other precision measuring tools.
  • Troubleshoot machine or program issues and communicate with the Machine Shop Supervisor.
  • Complete production reporting and inventory in Oracle.
  • Maintain tooling and keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Follow all company safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate's or Technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on Press Brake experience in a machine shop environment.
  • Ability to read detailed engineering drawings.
  • Forklift Certification preferred.
  • Ability to stand for an entire 8-hour shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Physical Requirements
This position requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting throughout the workday in a manufacturing environment.
