Job description

Press Operator
Responsibilities:
* Operate and monitor extrusion press equipment to maintain optimal performance, including managing temperatures, tuning equipment, and ensuring consistent production output
* Prepare and maintain tooling throughout the shift, including loading dies, managing die temperatures, and minimizing downtime during die changes or equipment adjustments
* Perform quality checks on extrusions by monitoring run temperatures, inspecting finishes and dimensions, and ensuring products meet required specifications throughout production runs
* Maintain accurate production records in EPICS, including billet lengths, cut sizes, downtime, die failures, quality issues, schedule adherence, and communicate equipment concerns with team leads and maintenance
Required Skills & Experience:
* 1-2+ experience in an industrial environment
* Knowledge of various machinery and ability to read drawings
* Must be able to work Monday to Friday from 7am to 3:30pm
* Understanding of measurements, tolerances, basic geometry, and numeracy comprehension
Preferred Skills & Experience:
* Familiarity with extrusion software; experience with EPICS is a plus
