Autotronic Systems is a turn-key provider of non-standard enclosures and control panels. We specialize in stainless steel applications and possess a full understanding of specific requirements in heavily regulated industries. From the moment we receive your specifications, we will manufacture the control panel with our extensive inventory of steel sheets, fabricate the enclosure, pre-punch the openings, and coat it within our conventional spray booth.


Job Overview
The Panel Wiring Technician assembles, wires, and tests control panels for variousindustrial and utility applications. This includes mounting components, neatly wiringequipment according to schematics, and ensuring panels adhere to relevant electricalcodes and safety regulations. The Panel Wiring Technician will also troubleshoot,
diagnose, and repair panel issues.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assembles and wires electrical control panels ensuring all components areproperly mounted and connected per drawing specifications.
  • Installs PLCs, terminals, relays, timers, breakers, wiring, and mounts accordingto specifications.
  • Tests control panels, troubleshoots faults, preforms repairs, and verify properoperation.
  • Performs regular maintenance, including cleaning and replacing components asnecessary.
  • Documents configurations and maintain installation reports.
  • Ensures compliance with industry safety standards and regulations.
  • Consults with electrical engineering staff in a professional manner to resolve anyissues to reduce checkout punch list items.
  • Manages time effectively to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Organizes panel wiring materials and components to efficiently manage projectworkflow.
  • Adheres to required wiring specifications to complete projects with minimalerrors.


Qualifications

  • Associates degree preferred, willing to consider a technical certificate in electrical engineering technology, mechatronics, robotics, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Precision in assembling and wiring control panels.
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers and other technicians.
  • Prior experience with wiring electrical panels for equipment and machinery.
  • Familiar with electrical wiring techniques and panel building.
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings or diagrams.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to use company vehicles. Work mayalso require being able to stand, bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods oftime.
