Role Overview

Seeking an experienced business development professional to drive new sales opportunities within the material handling and pallet racking space. This role focuses on nationwide prospecting, solution-based selling, and end-to-end project coordination, working closely with customers and internal teams to deliver optimized warehouse solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across multiple markets without geographic restrictions.

  • Build and grow client relationships through outbound outreach, digital channels, and professional networking.

  • Act as a consultative partner by understanding customer warehouse operations and recommending effective material handling solutions.

  • Maintain strong knowledge of pallet racking systems, automation solutions, and industry trends.

  • Conduct customer meetings to gather operational requirements and support accurate solution design.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to manage project flow from design through installation and closeout.

  • Track leads, opportunities, and active projects to ensure consistent follow-up and long-term account growth.

  • Monitor project costs, timelines, and revenue to ensure profitable and timely execution.

  • Develop and execute weekly and monthly sales plans, including forecasting and prospecting activities.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in material handling, specifically pallet racking or storage systems.

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a related commercial role preferred.

  • Associate degree in business, marketing, or a related field required; bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Strong ability to open new accounts and grow relationships through a value-driven, consultative approach.

  • Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Proven capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

  • Willingness to work primarily on-site with flexibility for customer visits as needed.
