Ocean Palace is hiring Wok Chefs to join our team. If you want to be part of a landmark restaurant known for authentic Cantonese cuisine and one of the largest dim sum dining rooms in Houston, Ocean Palace is a great place to grow your career.

 Responsibilities for Wok Chef:
  • Prepare ingredients and cook dishes using wok stations according to established recipes
  • Operate woks safely and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Ensure all dishes are cooked to standard and delivered in a timely manner
  • Monitor ingredient levels at your station and restock as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized wok station and surrounding prep areas
  • Ensure quality, freshness, and consistency of all dishes leaving your station
  • Follow all sanitation, food safety, and personal hygiene standards
  • Assist with training other kitchen staff as needed
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by kitchen shift leads and managers

Qualifications for Wok Chef:
  • Proven experience cooking with a wok in a high-volume kitchen
  • Strong understanding of Cantonese and Asian cooking methods
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
  • Organized, self-motivated, and reliable
  • Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to stand, bend, and lift moderate to heavy items
  • Flexible to work mornings, weekends, and holidays
