Wisconsin Management Company (WMC) is a hiring full-time Painter in our Maintenance Department, servicing our residential properties in Dane County! Our full-time employees enjoy flexible schedules, competitive wages, benefits and paid time off! Must have valid driver's license and vehicle.


Job Summary

The Painter is responsible for painting, finishing, and maintaining a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures under direction of the Service Manager and/or Property Manager. The position will be primarily involved in the painting of apartment turnovers, interior and exterior residential and commercial buildings, and common areas.

Principal Duties

  • Prepare, prime, sand, seal, patch, and paint various materials.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain painting equipment.
  • Perform drywall repairs, texturing, and spraying.
  • May also perform general light manual labor work.
  • Comply with all OSHA regulations and any applicable laws regarding health, safety and environment.
  • Maintain working knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a painting field.
  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Work under limited supervision.
  • Attend meetings, training sessions and seminars as requested.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Required minimum of one year or more of experience with painting or related area.
  • Required to hold a valid driver’s license, must have a reliable work vehicle (truck, van, car, etc) and current insurance.
  • LEAD CERTIFICATION HIGHLY DESIRABLE.
  • Must be available for occasional night/weekend on-call duty with the maintenance department.
  • Must have good human relations skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Physical capabilities to carry out job responsibilities including the ability to lift 80-100 lbs., stand for extended periods of time, ability to walk, talk and have use of both hands.

Schedule

Mon-Fri, with some rotating on-call requirements


Pay Range: $23-$26/hr
