Job Title: Production Laborer

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Assist in the assembly and production of windows according to established specifications and guidelines.
• Operate and maintain various machinery and equipment in adherence to safety protocols.
• Handle materials and components with precision, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the production process.
• Perform meticulous quality checks on finished products to identify any defects or imperfections.
• Collaborate closely with the production team to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to optimize efficiency and safety.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.
• Flexibility to work Saturdays as required, based on production demands.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read a tape measure and complete basic numerical calculations.
• Operate small hand tools, chop saw, punch press, overhead crane, etc.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work assignments.
• Lift 65-75 pounds; push/pull 75 lbs.
• Tape measure skills.
• 2 years of mechanical or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to stand all day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.

Work Environment

Our facility operates with multiple shifts, including early morning start times. The work involves handling glass, with some glass fragments occasionally present. Employees have their own workstations to assemble products independently. The dress code requires steel-toed boots, jeans, long sleeves or t-shirts, with gloves and protective sleeves provided for handling glass.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of DES MOINES, IA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
