Skilled Painter
Pay: $19-$26/hr DOE
Location: Leakesville, MS (Greene County, north of Lucedale)
Hours: Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced painter with commercial, industrial, or residential experience to perform high-quality surface preparation, pressure washing, and painting in a secure facility while meeting project specifications and safety standards.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare interior and exterior surfaces for painting.
  • Pressure wash commercial, industrial, and residential structures.
  • Patch drywall, wood, and concrete surfaces.
  • Sand, scrape, caulk, tape, and prime surfaces.
  • Apply paint, stains, sealers, and specialty coatings using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
  • Operate airless sprayers and painting equipment.
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas.
  • Follow project specifications and safety requirements.
  • Perform work with minimal supervision while maintaining quality workmanship.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of commercial, industrial, or residential painting experience.
  • Experience with pressure washing preferred.
  • Knowledge of proper surface preparation techniques.
  • Ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding, and lifts.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work outdoors.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • MS Department of Corrections background check required.
  • Must be eligible to work inside a secure correctional facility.
