Job description

Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description

This role supports the restoration of garbage trucks and cement mixers by preparing vehicles for final painting. You will use industrial sprayers and hand tools to thoroughly clean and prep trucks, working as part of a small manufacturing team in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the restoration process of garbage trucks and cement mixers from initial preparation through to final painting readiness.
  • Use industrial sprayers to wash and clean trucks, ensuring all surfaces are properly prepped for painting.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned production tasks.
  • Follow detailed instructions and production procedures to maintain consistent quality and meet project timelines.
  • Work as part of a small project team, coordinating tasks and communicating clearly with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper handling and storage of tools and equipment.
  • Wear required protective equipment, including a rubber suit, and adhere to all safety protocols in a hot and physically demanding environment.
  • Stand and perform repetitive production activities for up to 10-hour shifts as needed.
  • Assist with general production duties such as assembly, packaging, and basic machine operation as assigned.
  • Support material handling activities, including moving parts or equipment with forklifts or other approved methods when trained and authorized.
Essential Skills
  • At least 6+ months of manufacturing experience.
  • At least 6+ months of experience using hand tools and power tools in a production or similar environment.
  • Ability to stand and perform physical work for 10-hour days.
