Painter Trainee / Powder Painter
Location: Watertown, WI
Department: Powder Paint
Shift: 1st Shift
Starting Pay: Starting at $17.00/hour (Higher starting wage may be considered based on experience.)

Ad-Tech Industries is looking for motivated individuals to join our Powder Paint Department as a Painter Trainee / Powder Painter. No previous powder coating experience is required-we're willing to train the right candidate!

What You'll Do
As a Powder Painter, you'll help produce high-quality finished parts by applying powder coating to products on a moving paint line. Responsibilities include:
  • Apply powder coating using handheld spray equipment.
  • Read and interpret work orders, paint codes, and production instructions.
  • Inspect parts before and after painting to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Monitor paint coverage and identify defects such as light paint, heavy paint, or contamination.
  • Adjust equipment as needed to maintain consistent quality.
  • Clean and maintain paint equipment and work area.
  • Safely handle materials and follow all company safety procedures.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist in other departments as production needs require.
  • Perform other duties assigned by supervisors.
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or painting experience is helpful but not required.
  • Willingness to learn and receive on-the-job training.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic.
  • Team player with a positive attitude.
Physical Requirements
This position requires employees to:
  • Stand for most of the shift.
  • Frequently lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift up to 55 pounds.
  • Frequently bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and perform repetitive arm and hand movements.
  • Use handheld spray equipment throughout the shift.
  • Work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures.
  • Have good vision, depth perception, balance, and coordination.
Work Environment
This position works in a powder coating environment where employees wear required personal protective equipment, including:
  • Tyvek suit
  • Respirator and/or air hood
  • Gloves
  • Other required PPE

Candidates must successfully complete and pass a respirator medical evaluation before working in the painting department.
