Our 2nd shift schedule is Monday-Thursday, 3:00pm-1:30am. The shift incentive includes a 10% -15% premium, paid lunch, 3 day weekends, formal airframe training (AMT's postings only) and eligibility to transfer to 1st shift after 3 years.

What you can expect as a Lead Aircraft Paint Technician at West Star:
This position requires an advanced knowledge of the aircraft paint processes. The job involves leading teams, varying amounts of work order processing, log book entries and general aircraft painting. Supervision of the team and direction of project flow will be a primary function.
You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:

Your Education:
A high school diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver's license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal
Your Experience:
8+ years' experience in painting of aircraft, autobody, RV or Marine preferred.
This position needs exclusive knowledge in all area's of the job
This position will need minimal supervision and will be responsible for leading small work groups on daily tasks
Your Initiative:
We're looking for team players who are self-motivated, flexible and skilled at working in a fast paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common.
Your Sense of Responsibility:
Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.
Notify the supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
Assist with painting, painting base coat and layout.
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
Other Particulars:
Physical Requirements
Lift and carry 50 lbs.
Routine walking, bending and squatting or sitting.
Work standing on ladder or scaffold.
Pass pulmonary physical
Pass respiratory fit test, as you must wear protective gear.
