This Preconstruction Estimator will assist in leading-the-charge for finding new project opportunities and landing those preconstruction presentations to assure a healthy pipeline of exciting future work for this new commercial Nashville General Contractor. The Preconstruction Estimator will help with all precon estimate activities and assist the leadership & project management team be successful in all upcoming projects.

Overview:

• The Estimator will assist or lead in the preparation of estimates for construction projects

• Compile bid packages for complicated scopes that accurately convey desired bid scope and requirements to trades

• Prepare detailed estimate of entire scope of assigned trades, building system, and/or overall project cost

• Analyze existing site conditions and all contract documents to determine any required scope that is not indicated

• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor proposals relative to their scope of work • Determine if scope is covered and manage risk of scope gaps

• Create cost efficiencies through ongoing estimating process improvement

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Finance, Business, or related field.

• 3+ years of experience within estimating, preconstruction AND commercial construction bidding from the General Construction perspective.

• Proficiency with software, including MS Office Suite, project management software, bid management software, and scheduling software (P6 or similar).
