Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Extensive Material Knowledge: Proficient in various painting materials and application methods, with a solid grasp of quality control and material management.
  • Goal-Oriented Leadership: Possesses strong organizational and analytical skills, focusing on achieving set goals.
  • Effective Crew Management: Demonstrates ability to lead crews of 5-10 individuals safely and productively; assist in the continuous training and development of field staff.
  • Surface Preparation and Painting: Capable of preparing, priming, sanding, sealing, and painting multiple surfaces using diverse materials such as varnish, lacquer, shellac, enamel, latex, epoxy, waterproofing, and heat-resistant finishes.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Hands-on experience in equipment repair, able to identify and address minor issues promptly.
  • Professional Representation: Maintains a professional demeanor, representing the company positively while on client job sites.
  • Documentation: Completes required reports accurately and promptly, including daily field reports, timecards, field production reports, and time & material reports.
  • Change Orders: Understands the importance of and procedure for completing field change orders and tickets.
  • Equipment Proficiency: Trained and proficient in operating multi-level scaffolding, extension ladders, and spray systems.
  • Maintenance and Safety: Oversees proper usage and maintenance of PPE, tools, assigned trucks, and other equipment ensuring a safe work environment.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial painting, including proven supervisory / foreman experience
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to painting and construction activities
  • Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written) with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
  • Ability to read drawings/blueprints is a plus
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
