About the Opportunity

Our client, a respected commercial painting contractor with a strong presence throughout the Southeast, is seeking an experienced Project Executive to add to their team with intentions of starting a new branch in the Raleigh area. This is a high-impact role suited for a results-driven professional with a background in large-scale commercial paint projects and a strong understanding of project execution, financial control, and client management.

This role offers executive-level responsibility with the opportunity to oversee multiple projects and drive strategic growth in one of the region’s most active markets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee commercial painting projects from preconstruction through closeout across the Raleigh-Durham region

  • Manage profitability, risk, and performance across multiple job sites

  • Act as the senior liaison between the company and general contractors, developers, and owners

  • Mentor and support project managers, field supervisors, and administrative staff

  • Collaborate with the estimating team on large project bids and proposals

  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and cost controls to ensure performance goals are met

  • Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and operational standards

  • Provide insight on business development, process improvements, and operational strategy


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial painting project management

  • Proven success managing multiple large-scale commercial projects ($1M+)

  • Deep understanding of commercial painting scopes, materials, and production rates

  • Strong leadership and client-facing skills, with the ability to manage complex relationships

  • Solid knowledge of project cost controls, forecasting, and financial management

  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Procore, Microsoft Project, or equivalent

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or related field preferred but not required

  • Local market knowledge (Raleigh-Durham area) is a plus
