Job Description

As a Painter at Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa, who takes pride in your workmanship, you will be responsible for preparing and painting designated areas as assigned for every aspect of the resort.

As a Painter, you will:

  • Prepare all surfaces for paint, uses drop cloths and masking tape to protect surfaces
  • Apply primer or mildewcide prior to paint where needed
  • Apply paint to prepared exterior or interior surfaces by use of paint gun, roller, or brush
  • Apply caulking where needed
  • Apply concrete stain to walkways and entrances
  • Mix paint to achieve desired color
  • Set up and use ladders and/or scaffolding
  • Leave work area in safe, neat clean conditions
  • Ability to communicate and interpret guest needs by positively interacting towards resolutions
  • Must be able to work independently and with minimal to no supervision or support
  • Must comply with all CFI policies and procedures
  • Must represent Westgate Resorts in a professional manner through appearance, dress, and professional behavior at all times, as dictated in the Associate's Handbook

To perform this job successfully, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Additionally, the person must possess and adhere to the following core values:

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum of one year of related painting experience is required
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact with all levels of team members
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines
  • Strong ability to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance and frequently stand, walk, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Must be able to work with moving and vibrating mechanical parts, tools, and equipment and in outdoor weather conditions
