Job description

The Paint Engineering Coordinator supports for the design of paint jigs, robotic paint programs and

for developing solutions to productions problems relating to material, processes, and programming.

He/she supports preparation and event trial production for new project development. Additionally,

the Paint Engineering Coordinator teaches new system equipment operation others to use it

properly, ensures satisfactory operation of the new equipment, new products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Advise the knowledge for fixtures, paint jigs, robotic paint programs (including some very complex in nature) for use in the manufacture of company products.\
  • Assist Paint Engineer and Manager for JIG’s re-design, repair, and production control hardware, and tooling.
  • Advice paint processes, methods, robot programs, jigs, fool proofing, and production controls for new programs.
  • Research activities according to manufacturing processes, or other considerations, and supports approvement of modification of standards, specifications, and process.
  • Assist painting team on all kaizen/continuous improvement, training of 5-S activities.
  • Train, educate Eakas painting engineers and team.
  • Liaison between Sakae Riken (SRJ) and Eakas
  • Other job requirements as requested by Eakas/SRJ
  • Any additional analysis, help and/or assistance as required.
  • Analytical – Synthesizes complex or diverse information; Collects and researches paint defected appearance data; uses experience to complement data.
  • Technical – Applies basic methodology of painting process; Knowledge of basic paint chemical and utilizes statistics.
  • Organizational Support – Follows policies and procedures; Completes administrative tasks correctly; Supports organization’s goals and values; Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; Capable of reacting to shifting business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals documents (Japanese language). Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management.

Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.

Computer Skills:

  • Knowledge of using database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet and Word Processing software.

Experience:

  • Not less than three (3) years experience as painting operation work.
