Position Purpose

The purpose of this role is to manage all operations within the state-of-the-art Powder Paint Shop. The role will manage up to 60 work associates across multiple shifts as well as maximizing the operational performance of the asset. This position will also include responsibilities for the Safety, qualitative and environmental functions while closely aligning with key stakeholders to ensure that the supply of painted components meet the production schedule.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities

  • Work collaboratively with the operational leadership teams & functions
  • Schedule components to meet production requirements from the powder paint shop, while maintaining a high integrity operation in disciplines of safety, quality & continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with suppliers
  • Manage and maintain cost performance & support capital expenditure projects
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Understand & implement SPC performance
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 years of operational leadership in a fast-paced production facility
  • 4 years of working as a personnel supervisor

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies

  • Strong operational ethics
  • Strategic thinking of using data driven decisions
  • Must have excellent task-conversion skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Must have a professional, polished, and sophisticated demeanor and be comfortable in most social settings
  • Comfortable in an in-person office environment
  • Technical competence is valued – Industrial Paint & Processing plants
  • Must be customer service oriented, flexible, and have a high energy level
  • Shall be open to domestic and international travel
  • Desire and proven ability to learn and grow
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Microsoft Project

 

Job Conditions

  • Both office environment and occasionally manufacturing/factory environment.
  • Subject to noise and temperature changes.
