Group Summary:
The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

Job Responsibilities:
Specific Job Duties:
  • Maintain records of work performed as required using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and work order procedure.
  • Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot, repair or replace all components of Norplas equipment. This includes, but is not limited to all electrical equipment, hydraulics, mechanical, piping, pumps, and pneumatics in the Paint Department and Mechanical Room.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform preventative and predictive maintenance on all equipment in the Paint Department and Mechanical Room per the CMMS.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to use required hand tools for the paint department and have all tools and equipment required to perform work prior to beginning at Norplas. (See attached tool list)
  • Must demonstrate the ability to read parts breakdown and machine schematics.
  • Involved in the management of hazardous waste. Will attend training on an annual basis.
  • Troubleshoot and repair paint maintenance equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance as required
  • Perform maintenance on conveyor systems
  • Must be able to read schematics and pass a basic math test
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Educational Requirements
  • Associate's Degree required. Six years work related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Work experience combined with current schooling towards degree will be considered.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Industrial Electrical and PLC.

Related Work Experience:
  • Journeyman's card preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
โ€ข This position requires a person to have the ability to perform work while
standing or walking a minimum of eight (8) hours a day, the ability to lift up to 20 pounds on a frequent basis and up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis, and the ability to perform work that is below the knees and above the
shoulders on an occasional basis. Ability to climb stairs is necessary. Ability to wear a respirator is necessary. Good vision at a close distance is required. (See attached sheets for detailed physical description of this position.)
