The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is seeking to hire a short-term (6 month) paid Research Intern to work with Prof. Nasir Memon.
New York University (NYU) is one of the top private universities in the United States, and the Tandon School of Engineering, located in Brooklyn, NY, is deeply committed to excellence in teaching and learning. Tandon fosters student and faculty innovation and entrepreneurship that make a difference in the world.
Expectations:
Candidates will be responsible for developing new methodologies for secure, robust and transparent biometric recognition algorithms and perform work in a multidisciplinary environment and a diverse research group advised by Prof. Nasir Memon. The successful candidate will be driven, creative and team-oriented with a passion for developing explainable authentication frameworks.
Salary Range:
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this full time position is $48,000 - $62,499.
Qualifications
Candidate should have a M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Science, or a related field. They should have a strong background in AI/ML, biometric algorithm design and evaluation, and interests in Generative AI.
Candidates will be required to present eligibility to work in the United States.
