What is a paid research intern?

A Paid Research Intern is typically a student or recent graduate who works temporarily at an organization, assisting with research projects while receiving compensation for their work. These interns may conduct literature reviews, collect and analyze data, help prepare reports, or support ongoing experiments under the guidance of experienced researchers. Paid research internships offer hands-on experience in a professional research environment and can be found in academic institutions, private companies, or government agencies. The position aims to provide practical skills, industry exposure, and an opportunity to contribute to meaningful research while earning a stipend or hourly wage.
