MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented System Administrator to join our team in Columbia, Maryland.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution.
  • Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems.
  • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.
  • Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers.
  • Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning.
  • Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process.
  • Configure and manage Linux and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems, install/loads operating system software, troubleshoot.
  • Maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline; an additional 5 years of system administrator experience might be substituted for a degree.
  • 15+ years' experience as a Systems Administrator or in related IT roles.
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
  • Familiarity with Windows.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure administration, preferably AWS.

Clearance Requirements:
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:
  • Needs to be able to provide hardware transferring support.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $128,000.00-$214,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, MANTECH invests in its employees beyond just compensation.
