Are you experienced Printing Press Operator looking for a new opportunity?
 
APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with an exciting company in Taylor, MI looking for a Web Press Operator.  Their primary responsibility will be to operate and monitor web press equipment to produce quality printed materials efficiently and according to specifications.  Keep reading for more details!

  What your day will look like:
  • Set up and operate web press equipment according to job specifications.
  • Review job tickets, production schedules, and specifications before beginning production.
  • Load and monitor paper, ink, plates, and other necessary materials.
  • Adjust press settings to maintain proper registration, color, ink density, and overall print quality.
  • Monitor the press during production and make adjustments as needed.
  • Perform quality checks throughout the production run to ensure printed materials meet company and customer standards.
  • Troubleshoot press issues and make necessary adjustments to maintain production efficiency.
  • Minimize paper, ink, and material waste while maintaining quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and housekeeping of the press and surrounding work area.
  • Communicate production issues, equipment concerns, and quality problems to supervisors or maintenance personnel.
  What we are looking for:
  • Previous experience operating a web press in a commercial printing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of printing processes, press setup, and print quality standards.
  • Ability to read and understand job tickets and production specifications.
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
