Job description

Eyes Like Mine, Inc. is seeking volunteers with a range of skill for our conference seminar during the National Federation of the Blind's 2026 National Convention in Austin, TX!

The "Tiara Tuesday" LIVE: 2nd Queens' Brunch, featuring the Ms. Blind Diva Brunch Mini-Pageant, needs a friendly, administrative spirit to run our Check-In & Registration Table, with a balance of organization literature, active paperwork, and online tools.

This role includes:

  • verifying registered Convention guests
  • confirming Brunch Pageant applicants/contestants and directing them to Eyes Like Mine/Ms. Blind Diva Pageant Staff for next steps
  • accepting email addresses for our E-Mail List
  • helping low-vision attendees with QR codes on display, OR directing them to our website for links
  • offering the appropriate brand/event literature (brochures, registration forms, flyers, business cards, etc.) based on any indicated interest
  • managing ongoing intake throughout the event

This role REQUIRES:

  • great communication skills (with guests and hosts)
  • adept with both paper and online sources
  • attention to detail
  • an energy of patience, kindness, and overall humanity

You will be briefed on each item on your table, and a member of ELM/MBD will be accessible for your support at all times.
