Padel information

What is a padel?

A Padel job typically involves roles related to the sport of padel, such as coaching, facility management, event organizing, or equipment sales. Coaches train players in technique and strategy, while facility managers oversee club operations. Event organizers plan tournaments, and sales professionals handle padel gear and equipment.

What are the typical responsibilities of a padel coach on a weekly basis?

As a Padel Coach, your week will often involve conducting individual and group training sessions, analyzing player performance, and developing tailored improvement plans. You may also be responsible for organizing drills, overseeing matches or leagues, and maintaining a safe, welcoming atmosphere on the court. Additionally, coaches frequently collaborate with facility staff and other coaches to coordinate schedules and support club events. This combination of on-court coaching and team coordination ensures a dynamic and rewarding work environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the padel position, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Padel Coach, you need in-depth knowledge of padel techniques, game strategy, and often prior competitive playing experience. Familiarity with sports training tools, court equipment, and relevant coaching certifications (such as from the International Padel Federation) is highly beneficial. Strong communication, motivational skills, and the ability to adapt instruction to various skill levels are essential soft skills. These qualifications ensure effective player development, safety, and the ability to foster a positive, engaging sporting environment.

Job description

Bay Padel is hiring Operations Associate Team Members in the San Francisco Area (Dogpatch, Treasure Island).

About Bay Padel

Bay Padel is the Bay Area's fastest-growing padel, pickleball, and wellness club, with locations across San Francisco and the South Bay. We exist to build a professional, inspiring environment where people of all backgrounds can connect, grow, and find belonging through the consistent pursuit of excellence, community, and personal elevation.

We are building a place where members come to compete, improve, and belong, and where the team behind the experience takes as much pride in the details as the players do on the court. As we expand across California, we are looking for people who share that standard.

About the Role

The Operations Associate is responsible for delivering a high-quality daily experience at Bay Padel. This is a front-deskโ€“facing role and the first point of contact for members and guests, with ownership over club presentation, inventory, and smooth daily operations. • Serve as the primary front desk contact for members and guests
  • Create a welcoming, professional, and community-driven environment

  • Conduct regular walkthroughs and address operational issues proactively
  • Coordinate with vendors and escalate maintenance issues when needed
  • Ensure storage areas, equipment, and supplies are organized and maintained

Inventory Management

  • Conduct monthly inventory counts (pro shop, food & beverage) and report results
  • Receive, verify, and organize incoming deliveries
  • Monitor stock levels and flag replenishment needs

Events & On-Site Support

  • Support execution of club events during scheduled shifts
  • Assist with setup, breakdown, and real-time operational needs
  • Ensure smooth guest experience during events

Operations & Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and member experience
  • Support implementation of new processes and systems

What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • Available at least 16 hours per week

  • Bonus: experience in sales or the sports industry
