Description:

Position Summary:

The Imprinting Operator will perform the various functions in our customization area as necessary to ensure orders are completed as required to fulfill customer orders timely and accurately. This may include screen printing, pad printing, and heat transfer applications of customer logos.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Examines the traveler to determine what needs to be printed,
  • Ensures the correct material and quantity has been staged for printing.
  • Ensures the correct ink colors are being used.
  • Ensures the correct screen (s) are set up on the press to print the job on the traveler,
  • Selects, mixes, and modifies ink for use in printing machine.
  • Manually screen prints using squeegee with repeatable resultsโ€”and anticipates, recognizes, and fixes possible issues with the ink and press.
  • Performs quality checks throughout the process and verifies the job is complete before cleaning and breaking down the press for the next job.
  • Inspects and examines products for clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications, and any defects.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE and OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES for the Imprinting Operator:

  • Ability to work in a teaM environment.
  • Customer service focus.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work independently under his/her own initiative.
  • General problem solving/analysis capabilities.
  • Must have excellent verifiable attendance record.
  • Ability to stand for an extended period.
  • Great attention to detail.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to occasionally sit, climb or balance; the employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear.
