Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technician to join our production team. This hands-on role is responsible for setting up and maintaining graphic processes, ensuring product quality, and supporting efficient production operations. If you have strong attention to detail, enjoy working with your hands, and thrive in a team environment, we want to hear from you. 

Hours for the position are 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday. Overtime is available when necessary

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain the job packet with necessary information from the supervisor or manager
  • Read the job packet and obtain the necessary tooling
  • Give the job packet to the floor attendant to retrieve parts
  • Give Quality Control the information so they can get the standard box from the QC shelf or Standards Room
  • Set up the machine to function as efficiently as possible
  • Match the artwork in the job packet to the standard in the Standard Box
  • Obtain screens from the screen cabinets

Qualifications:

  • Education, prior work experience, and specialized skills and knowledge:
  • This position requires basic math and mechanical competency.
  • Good eyesight and color perception.
  • Must have good communication and reading skills in order to understand work instructions and safety issues.
  • Must have good organizational and time management skills.
  • Record production counts, graphic specifications, and internal findings.
  • Familiar with ISO standards for recording data.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the day
  • Comfortable working in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Ability to perform moderate lifting (no heavy lifting required)

Hanes Erie, Inc. was started in 1985 as a spray coating company providing frosted looks on plastic items such as bottles and jars. Founded with one coating machine designed and built in house, Hanes Erie now has 14 coating machines capable of both conventional and ultra-violet cure finishes.
Customers liked what Hanes Erie provided. So we expanded, applying the same standards of excellence to additional services such as screen printing, pad printing, and hot stamping. Little by little we acquired machines specific to these processes and today, more than 25 years later, we are one of the largest contract decorators in the world. Offering everything from frost and translucent spray coating finishes to bright foil hot stamping, complex screen printing, and pad printing. We produce well over 500,000 decorated items each day.
