TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in New Orleans, Louisiana, 70121!

Job Title

Registered Nurse โ€“ PACU

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (5x8 Hours, 7:00โ€“15:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pre-operative, Phase I, and Phase II recovery care to both adult and pediatric surgical patients across a high-volume, multi-floor surgical department
  • Support patients undergoing all major surgical services, including endoscopy, interventional radiology, pulmonary lab procedures, and regional anesthesia
  • Float to pediatric PACU as needed, caring for patients of all ages in pre-op and recovery settings
  • Operate specialized equipment including Hoyer lift, bladder scanner, and AccuVein
  • Maintain a 1:2 patient ratio and fulfill 2โ€“3 scheduled weekend shifts per contract period
  • Participate in emergency team assignments as directed by unit management in the event of an emergency event
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license โ€“ Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in PACU or a related specialty
  • Current ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications (AHA required)
  • Proficiency with Epic EMR
  • NURSYS report required and must be current within 4 weeks of submission date
  • Must meet travel compliance distance requirements (greater than 65 miles from facility)
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Background in PACU or Pre/Post-Op nursing strongly preferred
  • Experience caring for pediatric surgical populations
  • Familiarity with regional anesthesia and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) patient care
