Material Handler

Mt. Vernon, OH

Compensation Includes

  • Starting Pay Rate of $22.61/hour

Available Shift

  • Nights: 7:00pm - 7:00am
  • 2,2,3 schedule

Overview

The primary job function of a material handler is to move, store, and manage materials efficiently and safely within the facility to support production, storage, and distribution operations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the receipt of all finished products
  • Safely operate all material handling equipment including forklifts and/or pallet movers
  • Support the materials handling process for production related materials
  • Daily monitor all lines, anticipate, and supply each line with all materials (including raw materials, boxes, poly bags, pallets, etc.) that will be needed throughout the shift
  • Interact with machine operators on a daily basis in order to be able to anticipate any needs that they may have
  • Maintain an orderly and organized warehouse
  • Develop, revise, and review documentation for all materials related activities
  • Weighs pallets and scrap when applicable
  • Unload, load trucks, or stage trucks as necessary, or directed by the supervisor
  • Examines finished pallets before pickup and distributes materials

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen
  • Work overtime as required
  • Satisfactorily completes training courses as determined by management
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
