Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics/Packing Clerk to support packaging and shipment preparation for complex equipment in Houston, Texas. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is comfortable handling large assemblies, following technical instructions, and maintaining high standards for safety and accuracy. The role involves working closely with logistics, quality, and production teams to ensure products are packed, inspected, documented, and prepared for transport in accordance with customer and regulatory expectations.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Prepare specialized packaging for complex equipment using engineered crates while protecting delicate components during handling and transport.
โ€ข Interpret work instructions, technical drawings, and packing specifications to complete jobs accurately and consistently.
โ€ข Operate material-handling equipment and common hand tools to move, position, and secure large or heavy assemblies safely.
โ€ข Check parts and packed materials during the process to confirm they meet required specifications and quality expectations.
โ€ข Complete packing records, checklists, and labeling with precision to satisfy customer, export, and regulatory documentation standards.
โ€ข Examine crates and packaged items for damage, missing components, or structural concerns, and promptly report any issues discovered.
โ€ข Follow internal quality procedures, safety practices, and controlled-environment or clean workspace standards, including 7S expectations.
โ€ข Partner with assembly, quality, and logistics personnel to coordinate packing readiness and assist with shipment loading activities.โ€ข Experience in logistics, packing, shipping, receiving, or a related warehouse or manufacturing support role.
