About Potomac Floral Wholesale:
Potomac Floral Wholesale is a well-established and rapidly growing company located near the heart of Silver Spring, MD. Our spacious warehouse is home to a plethora of different flowers, plants and, floral supplies. As a team member, you will join a group of friendly people who believe in the individual commitment to a group effort. We pride ourselves in the family feel of our company and the work ethic of our employees. As a PFW associate, there are a variety of jobs you can be trained in and asked to do. These include reading customer orders, picking and packing orders, sorting items, loading and unloading trucks, quality control, inventory, and helping to maintain a safe work environment at all times. Some duties may require the use of a bunch cutter, stem remover, lifting of heavy objects, and exposure to cold storage temperatures as low as 40 degrees. You will be expected to have an understanding of all aspects of your role and follow specific safety and quality guidelines.

Delivery Driver:
Potomac Floral Wholesale is looking for experienced, full-time drivers who have a passion for both customer satisfaction and safety on the road. You will be expected to safely operate a cargo van while transporting flowers, live plants, and floral supplies. Delivery drivers are responsible for loading and securing orders in a van and delivering items in a timely manner. Applicants must be willing to work non-traditional hours including weekends. We offer local delivery service throughout the Mid-Atlantic region which includes Virginia, District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and New Jersey. You must possess a valid driver's license and a clean MVR record.
Hourly Rate: $18.00
DUTIES:
  • Drives safely and completes routes in a timely and efficient manner
  • Select orders from our warehouse and/or prepare deliveries and load vehicle
  • Represent the company in a positive and professional manner while operating the company vehicle, adhering to traffic safety as well as treating the customer with the utmost respect.
  • Reports any discrepancies in customer payment to Dispatch before leaving customer premises awaits instructions.
  • Make sure that all necessary paperwork is completed
  • Responsible for daily vehicle inspection
  • Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and reports any discrepancies indicating truck condition to supervisor.
  • Maintains a clean working environment. Takes proper care of assigned van and workspace.
  • Communicate and follow Dispatch route assignments
  • Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Thorough knowledge of traffic laws.
  • Knowledge of Washington DC Metro area
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean MVR record
